Welcome to Fall 2024

Welcome to the Fall Semester!

Starting the school year is an exciting time. The information provided below will help make this semester a success!

  • Have you submitted your Letters of Accommodation?
    • On our website, ods.rutgers.edu, an overview of Letter of Accommodations can be found. A Letter of Accommodations explains to faculty the reasonable accommodation provided to the student.
    • Letter of Accommodation requests must be made every semester. To receive a Letter of Accommodations, a student fills out the Letter of Accommodations Request Form. It is recommended this process be completed as soon as possible.
  •  Have you requested Accommodation Services?
    • From Exam Requests to Note-taking Services, the requests need to be submitted for the utilization of certain accommodations.
    • Please fill out your Exam Requests as soon as possible. It’s important to note that exam requests must be placed a week before the scheduled exam. You are encouraged to place all exam requests, for each exam, at the beginning of the semester.
    • Fill out the Note-Taking Request Form if approved for and using note-taking accommodations.
    • The Alternate Format Text or ASL/Cart Services form must be filled out when using these services.
  • Have you checked out our Student Portal?
  • Need assistance with these forms?
    • We understand that completing these forms at the start of the semester can seem daunting. Please feel free to reach out to your coordinator for assistance. Additionally, our accommodations assistant, Alexis Trusiani, will be available to meet with any student to review the forms and get you started!  Feel free to book an appointment with Alexis using this Bookings Link.
  • ODS is on Canvas!
    • Canvas is a great way to get updates about events, deadlines, and locate information about disability services.
  • Pop In! ODS Open House
    • The Office of Disability Services is hosting a social hour for students with disabilities and disability allies on September 6th at 12:30pm. The event is located on the first-floor lobby of Lucy Stone Hall A. Please, "Pop In" to meet other students, ask questions about accommodations, and see our testing sites. Register in advance!
  • Interested in getting involved in future events?
    • The Office of Disability Services is always looking for students to assist with events and programming to support disability initiatives and inclusivity across the Rutgers community. If you are interested in getting involved, please email ods.support@echo.rutgers.edu!
  • Follow us on social media!
    • At the bottom of this and all of our website pages you'll find links to our Facebook, X, and Instagram sites.

 Have a great semester!
