How do I submit a request?
There is no specific deadline for submitting a request. However students should submit the AFT Request form in the following timeframe depending on the type of format:
- All requests for Braille, Tactile Images, Daisy, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), should be submitted no later than 2 months prior to the beginning of the semester.
- All request for PDF, Kurzweil 300, MP3s, Large Print, or HTML should be submitted no later than 1 month prior to the beginning of the semester
If the office is able to acquire the course material through alternative means, we will do so and contact you once we have received it. It is the student’s responsibility to purchase all course materials. In the event that our office cannot acquire them, we will ask for your copy of the textbook or materials, which we will then process. Student texts will be taken apart, converted and rebound with a spiral binding.
Please note: ODS will try to honor all requests in a timely manner. Publishers and other sources may take longer than a month in responding to a request. This process may be longer or shorter depending on availability and size.
